Meanwhile, on a Saturday afternoon, Gavin Jones participated in the Welsh Fell Running Inter-Regional championship, which was part of the Maesgwm Detour Fell Race. Representing East Wales along with Tom Turner and Wyndham Turner from Builth & District Running Club, Gavin contributed to the team’s achievement of a bronze medal in the competition with a time of 1 hour 58.55. The race covered 11 miles and involved a climb of 3500ft amidst low clouds on the mountains, making navigation challenging due to the unmarked course.

In the previous week, Gavin secured the 67th position in the Magor 10k with a time of 40.53, while his club mate Sophie Williams finished 171st in 50.57.

During the midweek, Luke Gray participated in the Cheltenham Harriers Mid-Summer Open One mile track event, achieving a third-place finish with a personal best time of 4.58.66.

The Trailblazers were also active in park runs, participating from Exeter to Anglesey, as well as closer to home over the weekend.
